Slight AU; Laphiji decided that instead of allowing his brother to defeat him in the quest for the marriage of Ishtar he pushes himself to do what he feels is the best for his older brother, the one he loves. Of course this could mean a great deal of emotional for Seliez, as well as a falling out between the two older princes of the La Naan kingdom. Despite this the magic oriented prince presses on with his goal in mind, and it seems to have a fighting chance at winning the tournament. A marriage would mean a great distance between him and Seiliez, not to mention a bride he would rather not have.
